Even though at Safe Soulmates your safety, health and well-being is of paramount importance to us at all times, we are not a support service and we cannot supervise at all times, for this reason for you to become a member of Safe Soulmates we ask for you sign the following declaration. You may need support with this:
By signing to this waiver agreement, you are agreeing to the following terms:
1, I understand all interactions/actions in person or online, on social media, on the phone (or any other place that people may communicate or meet up) made by any member or anyone associated with a member of Safe Soulmates is their own responsibility and Safe Soulmates as an organisation will not be held responsible.
2, I understand and agree that Safe Soulmates is not a support service, if I need support, I attend with them, this is online, offline as well as all other communications
3, I understand Safe Soulmates is not able to always supervise and be present at all times at online, offline events and anything organised independently with other soulmates. It is your responsibility to bring support with you if you need it.
4, The member of Safe Soulmates and anyone associated with the member agrees that their participation in any activity are agreeing to assume any risk that is associated with participating in anything that is linked to Safe Soulmates and releases Safe Soulmates from any and all claims of damage and loss that may be as a result of participation. The release is without limitation and includes the personal injury fees, attorney’s fees and any other losses that might occur to the participant.
5, The participant agrees to hold Safe Soulmates harmless against all claims of damage and loss including damage to property caused by the participant
6, Safe Soulmates maintains that the right to refuse the participation of any member if they foresee that participation would risk damage to any party.
7, We at Safe Soulmates understand the importance to our overall health and well-being to have times where we socialise and see others, for this reason during the Covid-19 pandemic we feel that we must run face-to-face meet ups during this time. The participant attending any events organised by Safe Soulmates or independently from Safe Soulmates agrees to assume any risk that Covid-19 may have to their or anyone associated with you and releases Safe Soulmates from any and all claims of damage and loss that may be as a result of participation. The release is without limitation and includes the attorney’s fees and any other losses that might occur to the participant.
8, I understand that if I have any concerns, I will raise these with my primary support giver (parent, family, support organisation).
9, I understand that there are risks managing relationships online and offline.
10. I understand that soulmate members (as many friends do) may take photos at meet ups. They may share these photos in friendship groups or social media.
11, I understand that I can talk with Safe Soulmates staff about this waiver of responsibility. If you would like to discuss this, please get in contact.
