Safe Soulmates Privacy Policy

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) STATEMENT

As you may very well have heard the rules on how organisations process personal data are changing from Friday 25th May 2018. We collect your name, email address and telephone number(s) when you register an interest with Safe Soulmate, either face-to-face, via email, by telephone or via our website. In addition, we hold your name, email address and telephone number when you register for an event or when signing up to an e-newsletter. We take appropriate steps in accordance with the GDPR to protect your data. Access to the mailing list is limited to ourselves only and protected via the use of passwords.

If you register to become a paid client of Safe Soulmate, the data we collect allows us to ensure we match you in a safe way with suitable prospective partners. The personal data we keep is encrypted on two work laptops, which are password protected and used for Safe Soulmate purposes only.

Under article 6 of GDPR we are required to tell you under which lawful basis we are processing your data. In this instance we are processing your data under Legitimate Interests, specifically to:

  • maintain our existing ‘business’ relationship with you;
  • to know not to contact you if you inform us that you no longer wish for anyone at Safe Soulmate to contact you.

We do not sell or pass on any data to any organisation.

You have many rights regarding your personal data, including seeing what data we access, and updating your information.

If you would like Safe Soulmates to remove the data that we hold for you, please email us at info@safesoulmate.org.uk.
